4 mile Linville Gorge Hike via "The Chimneys" trail. The views at the top will not disappoint!! Take a PD from work and treat you and your dog to one of the best and most beautiful hikes in NC!
Weather pending of course, but morning temps in Linville are obviously much cooler than Charlotte so dogs should be fine. But
Dogs need to be reliably friendly with both people and dog
4 dogs maximum and Dave's dog, Ralphie, will get 1 of the spots :) Unfortunately, rugged & steep hiking days are over for Sawyer with his joint issues so he won't be going.
Dave recommends that dogs are at least 18 months old for this hike. Puppies under 18 months are still growing and their joints and ligaments are not fully put together quite yet, so super strenuous activities are not best for dogs under 18 months old.
