Why so early??!!! Even on weekdays, awesome trails can start to get a little busy with trail traffic by late morning. The earlier the better to avoid trail traffic and so our dogs can enjoy some off leash freedom responsibly on the trail!
4 mile hike in Linville Gorge NC / "The Chimneys" w/ option of 1 more mile to Table Rock for the fit people (not me)- lol.
4 other dogs may join me and Ralphie (Sawyer's joints unfortunately cannot keep up with rugged, incline, decline, etc type of trails).
IMO The Chimneys offer the best views of Linville Gorge- absolutely stellar views at the top! This hike/trail is in my top 3 favorite hikes in NC.
Pretty rugged terrain in sections. No technical experience needed but good hiking shoes/boots are a must. I would not hike this trail in tennis shoes.
One needs to be in fairly decent…
