Stone Mountain Pack Hike

Stone Mountain, NC Pack Hike! 

*We will meet at The UPPER Parking Lot at 7:30am. Why so early? This is a VERY popular hiking trail. If we want our dogs to enjoy off leash freedom we need to get there early :) 

* 5 Dogs total may participate (including Dave's dogs, Ralphie and Sawyer)

* We will hike 5-7 miles (route will depend on those participating and what everyone is comfortable with)

* I still feel Stone Mountain is the prettiest hiking area within a 90 min drive of Charlotte

* Total elevation gain is about 1,100' feet in 5 miles. I would say there are 2 sections with decent elevation climbing (one section that is a little rugged and then infamous stairs-lol) that total about 25-30 min of uphill hiking. The rest of the trail is very "roller coaster" type (flowing up and down) and a lot of the trail is actually quite easy. 

* I would recommend hiking boots/shoes for this trail
