USNWC Pack Walk & Social

When: Sunday, Feb 25 3:00pm 

Where: USNWC   

* $12 daily parking or $40 for an annual parking pass

*Weather prediction: 66 degrees is the high and Sunny! Let's get our dogs out and enjoy this weather! 

1. Min # of dogs/clients needed:  2   / Maximum allowed: 20 

2. We will do 2-3 loops (leashed walk) around the center (paved concrete and gravel) while practicing some sit-stays and down-stays

3. After the walk we will have a social (humans socialize and have a drink and dogs lay calmly in down-stays)

     * The Trail Center Food and Beverage (with the heated building that allows dogs) is open until 5pm 

     * Main restaurant is open until 6pm but dogs are obviously not allowed

4. If you stay for the social then I would plan on bringing a soft dog bed or comfy blanket for your dog to lay down on just in case temps don't get as warm as predicted. If we end up doing the down-stay outside, the ground may still be a bit chilly. Even in the heated building the floor is still concrete. 

5. Those that sign up- I will send you a video or map with of our exact meeting location

6. As with all pack events: when you arrive please have your dog ON leash and please give about 10' between yourself and other owners/dogs. We like to keep our "social butterfly" dogs calm (and teach them not every time they see a person or dog means social time) and we like to give space for our dogs that need some space between them and other people or dogs to be successful. 

7. If you have a furry dog- please make sure their neck fur is shaved up for good E Collar connectivity.

8. Other than your dog, please bring fully charged E collar, leash, dog bowl/water, poop bags, soft dog bed/blanket for your dog during the social in case temps are not as warm as predicted.
