Dave has a thorough phone consultation with all potential clients. You and Dave will discuss your dog, training needs and goals, the overall life-style you would like to have with your dog, Dave's training philosophy and training tools, and what to expect throughout the in-home training process. Dave will help you determine approximately how many sessions will be needed to reach your goals. Dave generally meets with In-Home Training clients once a week in which he works directly with the owners and their dog, teaching the dog and owners a few new things each session. Dave is essentially teaching the owners how to train their dog during the sessions. After each session, owners will receive "homework" (things to practice with their dog) for that week until the next session with Dave. Sessions can take place in a variety of locations, depending on training goals/needs and how well the dog and owner are progressing. Dave generally starts off lessons at the owners' home and neighborhood, but when things are progressing well, sessions can start to take place in busier locations with more distractions for more real world practice, like local parks, greenways, outdoor coffee shops and breweries, US National Whitewater Center, Lowes or Home Depot, River Walk, etc.

* Dave is available 7 days a week for In-Home Training

* It is absolutely imperative that In-Home Training clients have the flexibility to meet with Dave 1x a week for 60 minute sessions and then work with their dog on their own at least 4-5 days for another 20-60 minutes (depending on skills being practiced) to practice their weekly "homework."

Below are some general guidelines with # of sessions involved and what can be achieved; however, please keep in mind that every dog and human handler situation is different. Dave can completely customize private in-home training for your needs and your dog's needs. Leash Reactivity Program 5 - 7 sessions $700- $980

This program specifically addresses the issue of moderate to severe leash reactivity. The vast amount of owners will see significant success within 6-7 sessions. Some owners may need additional sessions/additional support.
